There has been rumors going around regarding Sony and Panasonic's partnership for the OLED and last week, it was reported that they are publicly getting on the same boat for production of big screen OLED displays. They are currently still continuing research on the manufacture and development and if all goes as planned, the production of the OLED is to start as soon as 2013.
At this point, it is inevitable to not compare these two companies with the two Korean companies already walking strong on the OLED route individually. I have a very high expectations for Sony and Panasonic on their OLED. Although more people are leaning towards LG, both LG and Samsung pulled it off pretty well, and I'm expecting to see a genius in Sony and Panasonic's. Sony did show their OLED TV back in 2007 but it wasn't quite successful due to its small size. I'm very much looking forward to this cooperation as well as the upcoming LG and Samsung's OLED.
